HORIZON series antennas are one of the most famous omnidirectional antennas available on the market. Carefully constructed, small, perfectly suited for the base stations of medium-range using a single access point. In locations where there is a large number of other networks, particular attention should be on the selection of the proper range for the cells and antennas should not have too big gain, because the access points connected to them are likely to receive unwanted signals coming to them from distant networks.
IEEE 802.11p / DSRC / WAVE
The antenna also operates in the DSRC frequencies used in the IEEE 802.11p WAVE. The antenna can be used in ITS (Intelligent Transportation Systems) to increase the road coverage of base stations RSU. By increasing the range, you can reduce the number of stations needed to handle traffic of a road section.
From July 2019, these antennas are no longer equipped with short circuit for direct current. Electrostatic charges that may appear on the antenna housing are discharged to ground through the antenna socket. For full protection it is recommended to use gas arresters.
